Changes To Norwood's Supply Chain

The importing and distribution of the New Holland and Case IH brands in the New Zealand market, currently managed by Norwood, will be managed by CNH Industrial from July 2022.

Tim Myers, Chief Executive Officer of C B Norwood Distributors Ltd said Norwood and CNH Industrial agreed that now is the right time for both companies to shift their focus to where they can add the most value to New Zealand agricultural customers.

“Norwood is viewing the shift very positively. This change reflects a global trend in how OEM businesses take their products to market. We’ve been working towards a model that suits this trend for some time now.”

Tim Myers notes a greater focus on customer experience and staying ahead of, and supporting, significant changes in agriculture.
“With CNH Industrial managing wholesale supply and distribution, we’re able to focus on best-in-class customer experiences. Our network approach allows us to leverage our reach and scale to better serve customers. As well as selling and servicing world-class agricultural machinery, we’re better positioned to front foot the changes in farming with technology-led products and services, so we can be genuine partners that support farmers, in what are frankly uncertain times.”

Norwood and CNH Industrial are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition process.

The change will be ‘behind the scenes’ and will have no impact on Norwood’s retail operations. The company’s sales, parts, service and warranty support for New Holland and Case IH tractors, harvesters and equipment will continue as normal. So, it’s business as usual for Norwood customers.

“Norwood is still, and will continue to be post the transition, the dependable support behind the New Holland brand (and Case IH for Norwood Northland customers) in New Zealand”, said Tim Myers.

Brandon Stannett, Managing Director – Agriculture, CNH Industrial Australia and New Zealand said CNH is excited to bring a level of expertise direct from the manufacturer straight into the dynamic and growing NZ ag market.

“Norwood have a long and proud history in the New Zealand agriculture industry, and we thank them for their commitment to our Case IH and New Holland brands for many years. We appreciate Norwood’s ongoing commitment to Case IH and New Holland dealerships and their customers. We will continue to look at new ways to build on the strong relationship with Norwood once the transition is complete.”

Tim Myers reiterated Norwood’s commitment to New Zealand agriculture.

“Since 1948, Norwood has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with farmers. We’re dedicated to supporting farmers and growers now and into the future. Our commitment to our valued customers is to Keep Farmers Moving. This commitment is as strong as ever.”
