When things get frantic in the wine industry, it is important that equipment performs at its peak, and Wither Hills receive great service and backup from its local Norwood Farm Machinery Centre.

Wither Hills produces award-winning wines from a number of sustainably managed vineyards in Marlborough using its fleet of New Holland tractors and Braud grape harvesters.

Wither Hills regional vineyard manager Craig Leov says Norwood Farm Machinery Marlborough-Tasman branch in Blenheim offers great service and fast response times.

Craig has been instrumental in purchasing multiple new New Holland tractors and Braud harvesters from New Holland since he began working for Wither Hills 14 years ago, including.

He deals with salesman Trent Lindsay, who provides a good support and competitive pricing. They have developed a positive working relationship that is proving beneficial to the Wither Hills team.

The Marlborough-Tasman Norwood Farm Machinery Centre provides a complete servicing and spare parts operation. This is supported by C B Norwood Distributors Ltd who has the largest agricultural warehouse in New Zealand strategically located in Palmerston North.

This includes genuine New Holland parts and lubricants. Craig says he chooses genuine parts and lubricants for his machinery to keep them in the best operating condition.

“As our machinery comes up for servicing we let Norwood Farm Machinery know and they come and service them here on site,” he says.

They have very good technicians and do very good servicing.”

The Marlborough-Tasman branch provides a quick response to any requests Craig and his vineyard team make.
It provides a complete 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service and parts package that has helped Wither Hills maintain its productivity during the busiest times of the year.

Technicians endeavour to be on site on as quickly as possible after a breakdown to ensure as little downtime as possible for the company.

“Generally, they have got spare parts on hand and we don’t usually have to wait too long to get them,” Craig says.

“Nine times out of 10 we can be back up and running in the same day if we have a breakdown or any problem.”
