70 years of dedicated Norwood teamwork has paid off yet again. On Friday 16 November the Norwood team was very honoured to receive the FoodHQ - Agricultural and Food business award at the Manawatu Business Awards evening.
The broadest award category of the evening, the selection was open to any business operating in agricultural production, processing, wholesale activity and associated support services or supply.
“Although based in Manawatu, many businesses in this category had a national and international presence. Personally, I was really excited to get through to the finalist stage in this category,” Norwood CEO Tim Myers explained.
Norwood took out the award because of their dedication to keeping farmers moving. As Tim expands, “The judges had been able to connect the things we do every day with our purpose, and as a consequence, the contribution we make to the broader agricultural economy.”
That's not to say this is the only reason Tim believes Norwood received the award. “Awards like this don’t happen by any one person’s actions, each and every one of the Norwood team played their part and should be proud of their contribution”.
A result of their teamwork, this wasn’t the only award Norwood was nominated for this year. The team was also a finalist for the Higgins - Spirit of the Manawatu category. This division was open to any business that significantly contributes to the Manawatu region. Whilst it was an honour for Norwood to be nominated, the title was taken out by the very deserving Long Building Solutions.
