NORWOOD PREPARES FOR RESPONSE LEVEL 3

On Monday the 20th April, the Government announced that New Zealand will move from level four, into level three at 11.59pm on the 27th April 2020.

At all levels, our focus remains on ensuring our staff, customers and communities are not exposed to an inappropriate level of risk.

We will continue to support the government’s COVID-19 response in whatever way we can, by acting in a way that demonstrates our commitment to putting people before profit.

In saying that, we, like all other businesses, contribute to positive economic outcomes for New Zealand and as such, we will be operating under a ‘new business as usual’, from the 28th April. We know that the future New Zealand will be different from the past, and that our customers are on this journey of discovery with us. Farmers and growers are adapting to different local and global requirements, in the same way that Norwood is adapting and creating new ways of working to ensure we can best support our customers.

We know our customers are interested in exactly what support we can provide them at level three, below is some clear guidance. Please note that while all services are operational, we will be operating at reduced capacity to ensure physical distancing practices can be followed.

Dealership Locations

Our dealerships will remain closed to the general public, however customers requiring assistance will be able to visit to collect parts, view machinery, drop machinery off etc, providing that this can be done in a way that minimises or eliminates the risk of COVID-19 contamination or transmission, complies with government COVID-19 requirements, and shows restraint and respect. We ask that customers call before visiting to book a specific time slot. This will minimise physical contact and minimise time spent on site.

Service Support

Both breakdowns and general maintenance can be completed for all customers in level three, providing that the repair or service can be completed in a way that minimises or eliminates the risk of COVID-19 contamination or transmission, complies with government and Norwood COVID-19 requirements, and shows restraint and respect. This applies to servicing at the local dealership, as well as on-farm servicing.

Parts Support

All parts transactions can be completed for all customers in level three, providing that the transaction can be completed in a way that minimises or eliminates the risk of COVID-19 contamination or transmission, complies with government and Norwood COVID-19 requirements, and shows restraint and respect.

Where possible, we will encourage contactless collection of parts. Where this is not possible, our dealerships must minimise contact wherever possible. Calling before visiting will enable our teams to have parts ready for you and agree a pickup time so we can minimise the number of customers at the dealership at any given time.

Sales Support

The sale, install and optimisation of new and used equipment is permitted, providing the sale and installation can be completed in a way that minimises or eliminates the risk of COVID-19 contamination or transmission, complies with government and Norwood COVID-19 requirements, and shows restraint and respect.

We ask that customers call before visiting to book a specific time slot. This will minimise physical contact and minimise time spent on site.

Norwood will continue to play our part, and more, as New Zealand recovers from and eventually eliminates the COVID-19 threat. We will do this by continuing to adhere to government and Ministry of Health advice and restrictions, remaining focused on putting people first, and reinventing processes to ensure we can keep our customers moving.
