We currently have an opportunity for an Assembly/Equipment Mechanic to join our team. If you are an experienced mechanic looking to move to a great employer, then this could be the opportunity for you! With new product arriving from our overseas manufacturers there is the need to have an experienced mechanic on hand to perform a range of tasks based from our Tractor and Machinery Dealership in Dobson Greymouth

This position will suit someone who enjoys working with new equipment. In any given day you could be performing a range of tasks from loading / Unloading trucks, assembly of tractors, excavators and machinery, maintenance of plant as well as the pre-delivery of machinery for dispatch. The role is varied, clean, interesting and suited for someone wanting to add value to an already great team environment.

Whether you are utilizing your mechanical skills or assisting the Service Technician side of the business with various tasks, it is about team work to ensure the Dealership operates as effectively and efficiently as possible.

We see these factors as key to succeeding in the role:

  • Able to demonstrate previous hands on experience with mechanical work
  • Knowledge of working engines, structure and drivelines
  • An understanding of hydraulics and/or agricultural wiring
  • Current forklift and OSH handling licenses would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a successful team
  • People and communication skills to enable collaborative teamwork
  • Class 4 license would be an advantage
