Michael Robinson, Parts Business Development Manager

MichaelRobinsonMichael first joined the Norwood team at the beginning of 2010, working in a technical support role within the national parts division of the company. Since then, he has held multiple roles within the company which has allowed him to develop a great understanding of multiple areas of the business. Michael is currently our Parts Business Development Manager, which sees him overseeing and leading the parts support and development teams, supporting the achievement of sales targets, developing and managing parts strategies, as well as managing supplier relationships and providing support for the Operations General Manager.

Over his eight years at Norwood, Michael has been offered endless opportunities to grow and develop both his personal and professional skills. Norwood has supported him in completing a range of management papers and personal efficiency courses, allowing him to get the most out of his available time.

As well as career development, working at Norwood has provided Michael with the ability to follow his ambitions outside of work. Since 2013, Michael has been competing in triathlons, both in New Zealand and across the world. A highlight of this was his qualification for the 2013 world age group champs, held in London. “My manager has always been supportive of me, and, when required, given flexibility leading in to key races”.

The close-knit family feel is one of the things Michael enjoys most about working for Norwood. “We show a lot of support and empathy towards each other on a personal level, which I feel is key since we spend the majority of our time at work”. He also enjoys being constantly challenged by working for a progressive and adaptive company, in an industry which is forever changing. “The best thing about working for Norwood, for me, is our people, support, and the industry”.
