Delighting visitors since 1886, The Manawatu Show is two full days of livestock and equestrian goodness with 1,500 animals on site competing in over 1,000 classes for the best of the best showing titles and over $25,000 in prize money. In addition to the competitive action in the showing rings, there are plenty of opportunities for Show goers to interact with animals in the ever-popular Farmworld.
This year we've adopted a ‘K9' theme to our show, celebrating the many facets of work and the huge value of dogs in the agri-sector, and in our community. In addition, we are showcasing a diverse range of music, dance and the creativity of our young people. It will be a fun-filled show of action-packed entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Pony and sheep dog trail judging gets the event under way followed at 9.30am by the sheep, cattle and most of the shed sections. Photography and art are pre-judged.
