Väderstad Components builds new production lineNew Blog Post

Väderstad is expanding its Components facility in Överum, Sweden, adding a third disc production line that will be ready for use in 2025 and increasing the overall number of production lines to eight.

This expansion will meet the demand for Väderstad genuine parts from farmers all over the world due to their reputation for providing the best possible match to Väderstad machines and excellent performance and durability.

“We estimate demand will grow eight percent per year for the next five years,” says Dan Somlin, CEO for Väderstad Components.

Over the last couple of years, Väderstad has also expanded its product portfolio, which will continue to increase the demand for Components. The new disc line will provide the extra capacity to ensure Väderstad can meet the demand for the genuine parts of those additional products.

“We have made some major investments in products we expect to perform well for Väderstad,” says Henrik Gilstring, Chief Executive Officer of Väderstad Group. “Last year we acquired inter-row cultivators from Danish company, Thyregod and these will be fully integrated into the Väderstad brand from the summer of 2024, so our Components facility will also be producing wear parts and spare parts for these machines.

Väderstad Components is part of the global Väderstad Group, producing wear parts like points, discs, and rollers, as well as accessories.

To achieve the highest possible quality, the facility in Överum houses a unique materials technology lab, headed by metallurgist and materials scientist, Anders Petersson.
