KUHN is expanding its tillage range with the launch of new foldable power harrows,
HR 5030 R and HR 6030 R, designed for solo use and offering working widths of 5.00 and 6.00 metres respectively.
They are suitable for a wide range of tractors up to 350 hp and represent an effective solution for arable farms looking for high productivity.
All HR 1030 R range power harrows have a single-beam frame, giving easy access to gearboxes and transmissions and limiting the time spent on maintenance. A centre of gravity that is as close as possible to the tractor ensures driving comfort and a lower required lifting power.
Fast and easy settings
As soil texture may vary within the same plot, quick and easily adjustable machine settings are a must to achieve optimum work quality. In the new HR 1030 R range, nothing could be simpler. Adjustments of the working depth and the levelling bar are done either manually, centrally, or hydraulically directly from the tractor cabin.
Optimal seedbed preparation
For optimised crumbling, levelling, and tamping, the HR 1030 R range is compatible with a wide choice of blades and rollers. The range is fitted with DURAKUHN carbide-coated blades as standard for increased resistance to impact and wear. For even longer service life, DURAKARB blades with tungsten carbide inserts are available as an option. Thanks to the FAST-FIT quick fastening system, the time spent replacing blades and rollers is minimised.
Duplex gearboxes have interchangeable sprockets allowing the speed of the rotors to be adapted to the working conditions and the desired result, whether soils are light, heavy, dry, or wet.
The HR 5030 R and 6030 R power harrows can be combined with MAXICRUMBLER (Ø 520 mm), MAXIPACKER (Ø 535 mm), or MEGAPACKER (Ø 590 mm) rollers. The larger diameter MEGAPACKER has excellent bearing capacity.
Strong and reliable design
The reinforced central gearbox is equipped with an oil cooler and the whole of the kinematic chain is protected by a cut-out clutch. Like all KUHN power harrows, the powerful rotor drive is fully protected by a rigid gear housing. The casing, bearings, and blade holders form a compact and robust unit and the arrangement of the tapered roller bearings ensures strength and reliability.
The new HR 1030 R is an effective solution for preparing a quality seedbed and will be available in New Zealand in 2025.
