When players tee off at the annual Norwood Charity Golf Tournament at Wairaki Golf +Sanctuary in Taupō on Tuesday 17 October, it will be the fifth time this event has been held in support of Farmstrong.
The Norwood Charity Golf Tournament has become much more than a game of golf and is now a major funding contributor to Farmstrong.
The event is hosted by Norwood with the support of a network of likeminded businesses. Proceeds from ticket sales, auctions, and hole sponsorships go to Farmstrong. Last year’s tournament raised a record-breaking $106,925, bringing the overall total raised since 2019 to $300,925.
We don’t do it alone.
The Norwood Charity Golf Tournament brings together a network of businesses that organise, contribute, and attend the tournament. Everyone involved recognises the incredible mahi Farmstrong do to make a difference to mental wellbeing in the agricultural sector.
It’s a chance to give back because we understand the pressures faced by the agriculture sector. The money raised helps Farmstrong build resources and reach people through an award-winning mental wellbeing programme that specifically targets rural communities.
It’s about more than money.
Although the aim is to raise money for Farmstrong, the Norwood Charity Golf Tournament is also about growing a community that promotes how to look after each other through openness and conversation – things that happen out on the golf course and help when times are tough.
The Norwood Charity Golf Tournament looks forward to making a difference again this year. Norwood is proud to stand alongside other businesses who have the same values and desire to give back to the industry we serve.
