Norwood partners with construction machinery manufacturer XCMG

C B Norwood Distributors Ltd is pleased to announce they will enter an agreement with XCMG to distribute their range of construction machinery in New Zealand.

XCMG is China’s number one construction machinery brand, with revenue that also puts them in the Top 3 construction machinery brands globally.

“We’re excited to be bringing the XCMG heavy construction equipment range to our customers. This is a world-leading global manufacturer with USD14.2 billion sales last year across 190 countries. They’re also backed by over 80-years of experience – a length of time similar to Norwood’s presence in the New Zealand market” says John Skurr, Norwood General Manager.

Norwood’s initial product focus will be excavators classed 12-tonne and above and wheel loaders classed 6-tonne and above.

“XCMG’s higher weight classes will sit alongside products from Norwood’s existing construction machinery supplier and allow us to become a one-stop-shop for compact and heavy classes of equipment,” says Hamish Lim, Norwood Key Accounts Manager.

“That means we can be the supplier of choice across a larger range of equipment for our customers in civil construction, earthmoving, roading, and waste management,” says Hamish.

The first shipment of XCMG excavators and wheel loaders is due to arrive in late spring this year and will be based at Norwood’s Auckland and Christchurch dealerships.
